HISTORY
Located at the former entrance site of the Ainahau Estate, once home to Hawaii’s beloved Princess Victoria Ka‘iulani, the Sheraton Princess Kaiulani opened on June 11, 1955 (King Kamehameha Day), at a cost of $4.5 million. It was the largest hotel built in Hawaii since The Royal Hawaiian in 1927 and houses historic photographs of the princess and the royal monarchy throughout the property. Twelve luxury suites were added in 1959. The Diamond Head Wing (now the Kaiulani Wing) opened in September 1960 and the Ainahau Tower was added in 1970. The hotel celebrated its 50th anniversary on June 11, 2005.

In the heart of Waikiki, the Sheraton Princess Kaiulani is in walking distance from Kapiolani Park, the Honolulu Zoo, Waikiki Aquarium, and International Marketplace. The hotel is also bordered by world-class shopping, dining and entertainment. The hotel is nine miles from Honolulu International Airport.
GUEST SERVICES AND FACILITIES
When staying at the Sheraton Princess Kaiulani, your visit is enhanced by the facilities, services and amenities available through the hotel These include: a freshwater swimming pool, beach activities desk, historic property tours, daily newspaper upon request, laundry facilities and dry cleaning services, boutique shops, concierge and dining reservations desk, multilingual staff, valet and self-parking, voice mail message center, escorted check-in, in room video check-out and ADA accessible rooms. Guests are also entitled to “stay at one, dine at all” privileges with sister hotels in Waikiki. Rooms have complimentary safes and doors fitted with electronic locks. All guest rooms are equipped with high-speed internet access and a wireless Local Area Network (LAN) is available in various hotspots around the hotel lobby extending to the beach. Guests also have access to the Sheraton Waikiki Hookipa Activity Center which includes the Xerox Business Center, the Fitness Center at a daily fee of $8.00 per day or $16.00 per week (subject to change), the Keiki Aloha children’s program for ages 5 – 12 and preferred rates at championship golf courses. Babysitting and limousine service is also available. A “Doctors on Call” 24-hour Medical Clinic is located on property.
DINING AND ENTERTAINMENT
From romantic, poolside dinners by torch-light to authentic Japanese cuisine with dazzling tableside preparations, the Sheraton Princess Kaiulani offers a thrillingly unique dining experience. The relaxed, outdoor setting at the Pikake Terrace Buffet and Broiler offers generous breakfast and dinner buffets and an excellent a la carte menu with wide selection of salads, sandwiches, broiled meats and seafood. Enjoy nightly poolside entertainment performed by Hawaii’s premier entertainers at the lava rock stage. Momoyama honors traditional Japanese cuisine including an extensive selection of sushi and/or dinner combinations and for a quick meal or take-out, the Minute Chef food court offers everything from hamburgers to stir-fry.
Waikiki’s most exciting dinner and cocktail show is “Creation – A Polynesian Journey”; a theatrical excursion through the South Pacific islands. The show takes the audience from the mythical creation of Polynesian man and woman to the tribal wars of Fiji, and from the romantic dances of Tahiti to the celebration of Hawaii’s statehood. Celebrated with live music and ancient drums, authentic costumes, special effects, state-of-the-art sound and lighting and illusions, Creation – A Polynesian Journey is a Polynesian spectacular like no other.
